- 1 red pepper
- 100g black olives
- 200g Gouda cheese
- 200g wheat flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 100ml milk
- 100ml olive oil
- a few sprigs fresh basil
- 2 tsp Herbes de Provence
- Tarsmak garlic sauce
- salt, black pepper to season

Wash the pepper, deseed it, cut into strips and stew in a small amount of oil until tender. Halve the olives and add to the pepper. Set aside and allow to cool. Mix the flour with the baking powder, add in the eggs, milk, olive oil and herbs, season with salt and black pepper. Combine all the ingredients energetically with a spoon. Add in the cheese cut into middle-size cubes and stir. Pour some of the pastry dough into a fruitcake baking tin covered with baking paper, scatter over a part of the pepper and olives mixture, then cover it with another portion of dough. Sprinkle over the remaining vegetable mixture and cover again with the dough. Bake in the preheated oven at 200C for approximately 45 minutes. Take the pastry out of the baking tin when it is still warm. Serve with the Tarsmak garlic sauce.
